Aerial photography
Municipality.Tech offers aerial photography services using manned and unmanned flight vehicles
Aerial photography enables us to obtain static images of a large, selected segment of the surface of the earth in the form of an aerial image. For this reason it is one of the most productive methods of collecting spatial information, vital for creating topographical plans and maps and the construction of 3D models of land and locations. It is thus irreplaceable in geographic and hydrographic exploration, land and forestry work, construction and agriculture.
Traditional mapping photo shoots create a graduated image of land features from “point to point”. Aerial photography produces overflight images that are entirely automated and synchronous in one image.
Stages and results of the aerial photography
Aerial photography includes aerial photography, photo laboratory periods and field photogrammetric work. In order to get a complete photo image of a plot of land, the aero photo shoot is performed on straight-line parallel routes with a partial overlapping neighboring aerial photography of one route (longitudinal overlap) or adjacent routes (transverse overlap), which allows determining spatial coordinates of the land points.
The aerial photography is an intermediate stage in the creation and provision of source information of cartographic and GIS materials and allows getting the following spatial data:
- topographic maps and plans in scale from 1:500 to 1:5000;
- digital relief models with an accuracy of up to 0.5 m;
- high-resolution orthophoto maps, layers for geoinformation systems and corresponding thematic loads of different formats;
- virtual (3D) topographic models created on the basis of the combination of the above data.
Use aerial photography results for the development of construction projects, land surveying and cadastral works, environmental research, geological exploration and assessment of real estate status. Get unique opportunities for intensifying works and optimal usage of human and material resources.
